"Nanoscaled Semiconductor-on-Insulator Materials,
 Sensors and Devices"

Conference Objectives
Goal of the Conference is to debate about the recent developments in
nanometer down scaled Semiconductor-on-Insulator (SemOI) systems
which are basis blocks for modern  high-sensitive sensors in a wide
range of applications such as telecommunications, radiation control,
biomedical instrumentation, chemical analysis, etc. SemOI is foreseen
as a key technology for the integration of high quality and resistant
nanoscaled devices and integrated  circuits which must operate in
harsh environment. 
The topics to be covered include:
•  Semiconductor-on-Insulator material technology
•  Nanoscale CMOS devices and circuits
•  New SemOI materials and nanoscaled devices on its basis
•  SemOI sensors and new SemOI systems
•  Diagnostic techniques for nanoscale SemOI materials and devises
•  Technology and economics

First Call for Papers: FINAL Deadline November 1, 2009
The annual PCSI conference is devoted to achieving a fundamental understanding of
the physical, chemical, biological, structural, optical, magnetic and electrical
properties of surfaces and interfaces. These studies include characterization of
growth processes, interfacial phenomena, transport and the structure and influence
of defects. Generous amounts of discussion time will be included in the program in
order to emphasize the workshop character and to stimulate the exchange of new
ideas. The abstract deadline is November 1, 2009 (there will be no extension). PCSI
